Work method
Our non-governmental partner organisations in countries of origin can offer assistance in information provision, finding housing, accessing education and medical or psychosocial care, microcredits, setting up an income generating activity or they provide help with job integration. All of these can promote reintegration in the country of origin.
Our support is intended to give the returnee a push in the right direction in the initial period after return. We do not aim to provide structural long-term assistance with regard to reintegration in the country of origin. We offer small-scale assistance adapted to the local environment.
Request for reintegration support
A request for reintegration support can be made by filling in the following form.
MBT maintains contact with the individual concerned or with their mentor. The mentor can be, amongst others, somebody from an emergency assistance organization, COA, the Dutch Council for Refugees, IOM, a lawyer, a migrant organization or a private organization. In principle we will then contact the local organization in the country of origin. However, migrants can also contact our partner organizations themselves to get a better impression of what they can and cannot offer. We provide for the financial arrangements with the local organization and keep in touch with them to monitor the returnee’s progress.
